In 1987 the Nike Air Max was released in the United States targeting athletes.
But since then, the Air Max has been a regular on the feet of sneakerheads, runners, ballers, and those just looking for a casual and comfortable footwear option thanks to its ability to easy adapt to a life on the street from a pedigree of sport. To celebrate the impact that this silhouette has had on music, fashion, and society, Nike has desgined special edition kicks in honor of several European cities, beginning with this Milano Collection.
Based on this historic city’s tradition of craftsmanship, Nike presents the Air Max 97 2013, the Air Max 1, Air Max 97 and Air Max 90 done up in a rich suede with vibrant neon details, colored to match the muted tones of Milan’s cityscape mixed with its rich fashion and art communities.
The Nike Air Max “HomeTurf” Milano Collection is beginning to hit overseas stores now, so keep an eye out for these if you want in.
My personal favorite out of the collection is the Milan Air max 1 pair due to its eye popping color combination consisting of beige in suede on the upper portion of the shoe along with neon pink holes, lining, and accents.
Now available at (and running out fast..) Limited Edition.
