ART ART + DESIGN + PHOTO

FEATURED ARTIST | HERAKUT

Circa 2004, HERAKUT is an artist duo from Germany, comprising of HERA + AKUT.

We’re absolutely in love with this piece they’ve recently done at the Kura Festival at Wittenberg.

Their artistic collaboration emotes a gentle fragile mysticism, embedded in strength and beauty. Each image carries a resonating message – for one to reflect inwardly or address society at large.

Art by HERAKUT is not only amazingly beautiful, their soft prod is important reminder of the human condition – most we knew, some we didn’t, others we forgot.

These beautiful sketches were taken by Vaultmag at the recent Moniker Art Fair in London.

“When the people came with their chants & their torches, we knew who the real villans were.”
“My home is not a palace but we can share it if you like”
“As long as you’re standing, give a hand to those who have fallen.”
“Don’t you take my monsters away. They made me who I am today!”

Some of these sketches served as a precursor for their murals, such as this one located in Stromstrasse 36 in Berlin-Moabit – a collaboration mural with  Wes21 and Onur , made possible via Berlin Mural FestMontana CansUrban Nation.
