Absolut Illusion

 

ABSOLUT VODKA has launched ABSOLUT ILLUSION, a collectible bottle that inspires everyone to embrace the unexpected and to challenge their perspectives in an innovative way.

Aptly coined ‘ABSOLUT ILLUSION’ – at first glance, it appears to be the classic ABSOLUT VODKA bottle. However, therein lies the illusion. The ABSOLUT logo undergoes a playful transition in this reinvention, where the liquid is used to magnify and mirror the logo, creating the illusion of the label floating in the vodka inside the bottle. When tilted sideways, the logo seems to be moving around in the bottle!

In short, the ABSOLUT ILLUSION edition creates a perpetual illusion to whoever chooses to set his/her sights on this limited edition bottle.

To complement the launch of ABSOLUT ILLUSION, the bartenders of ABSOLUT have explored with taste illusions and came up with three ABSOLUT ILLUSION signature drinks – Elevated Screwdriver, Mystic Martini and ABSOLUT Turn.

Elevated Screwdriver

1 part ABSOLUT® VODKA
3 parts orange juice
1 part sparkling wine

 

Pour ABSOLUT® VODKA and orange juice over ice in a long drink glass. Layer the sparkling wine on top by carefully pouring it into the glass. For better result, use a barspoon.

 

 

 

 

Mystic Martini

9 parts ABSOLUT® VODKA
1 part Absinthe

 

Stir ABSOLUT® VODKA with ice. Spray or pour Absinthe in cocktail glass and swirl the glass. Strain the vodka into the glass and serve with a green olive. To add a little more mystery, use an Absinthe infused olive.

 

HOW TO MAKE ABSINTHE INFUSED OLIVES:
Add olives to one part Absinthe and one part water. Let it saturate for at least 24hours.

 

Absolut® TURN

1 part ABSOLUT® VODKA
1 spoon of flavoured rock candy syrup

Stir ABSOLUT® VODKA with ice and zest two lemon peels and one orange peel into it. Strain over fresh ice and one teaspoon of rock candy syrup into rocks glass. Stir to perfection.

HOW TO MAKE FLAVOURED ROCK CANDY SYRUP:
3 parts sugar
1 part water
Orange peel
1 vanilla stick

Heat water and dilute one part sugar in water to make the syrup. Add zest of one orange and one stick of fresh vanilla. Let it saturate for 24hours, then discard orange peel and vanilla stick, add two parts of sugar more and bring to a slow boil. Let it cool off.

ABSOLUT ILLUSION will be available at key Clarke Quay establishments and all Timbre outlets in Singapore, from noW onwards, while stocks last.
